		<title>Comments have been turned off</title>
<description>	This site is attracting some spam commenters. Since there hasn&#8217; t been any commenting recently (ever?), I&#8217;m turning off the commenting functionality. We&#8217;re running an old version of the software and upgrading improves things, but it&#8217;s not on my schedule yet.

		<title>Notes on this system</title>
<description>	This NCWU WordPress system hasn&#8217;t had much attention lately. More investigation of WordPress has been done in the context of AAUW NC - see

	 http://news.aauwnc.org (a &#8220;news&#8221; system - think of how we&#8217;d use something like that for &#8220;alerts&#8221;, &#8220;events,&#8221; &#8220;jobs&#8221; &#8230;), and

		<title>Calendar solution goes to beta!</title>
		<description>	Check out

I&#8217;m willing to call this the calendar &#8220;solution&#8221;. [We&#8217;ve canceled the Ontero account and so needed something by Monday the 5th or needed to reprint the business cards that say we provide a &#8220;master calendar&#8221; for our member organizations&#8217; events. ]

<title>May have found the calendar solution</title>
		<description>	Venue, http://www.venuecom.com/Hosting/hosting_iCal.htm,
offers a WebDAV enabled calendar (iCal) account for $25/year. It appears to be based on PHP iCal, but may certainly be worth the cost &#8212; at least for the transition between RTPnet and any WordPress/Dreamhost based account.

		<title>CMS demos</title>
<description>	I don&#8217;t know whether these demos are a new feature or whether I just completely blanked about them. At www.opensourcecms.org you can &#8220;kick the tires&#8221; on wide array of systems - from wiki, to groupware, to blog, to cms.

		<title>Email and Word Press</title>
<description>	There are a couple of earlier posts about e-mail integration with Wordpress, but this note is an attempt to capture recent thoughts.
	1. E-mail posting to Wordpress
This would be useful for setting up a gateway from the alerts@ncwu.org e-mail list to the WP system.
