WP 1.5.1 was released on 5/9. I tried to do the upgrade with the following steps, but decided to roll back. Details are below.
- Backup database
- Backup all files
- Install wp 1.5.1 files
Validate the new installation -
- The DD/DL in the stylesheet still seems to be okay
- The tagline was missing from the header, so the change to the header template and style sheet would need to be reapplied.
- The problem with the RSS links on the sidebar starting with “feed:” reappeared, so the sidebar template would need to be updated. [Using a “feed:” in a relatively recent version of Firefox’s SAGE RSS reader, the application just hangs when trying to open the feed as specified in the default WP template.]
I poked around in the bug database for a few minutes then decided to roll back to 1.5. It looks as if an RSS patch or 1.5.2 are in the works. I’ll check again in a week or so, because there’s a security patch or two that 1.5.1 incorporates.

Hmmm… It appears that “comments” aren’t being displayed properly. For instance there’s a comment on the note I posted about hosting options, but on the main page, it shows as “0″ comments.
Is it possible something in the 1.5.1 upgrade is “left over” here?

Well, the problem with comments seems to be that the id “nancy” is tied to a particular IP address and postings from another system have to be run through the moderator. Bummer.

This is an attempt to post a comment as a newly registered person. Ouida’s reporting a problem with her account.

Again, this is a brand new user. Will the comment appear without moderation?
