Using HTML tags that are not on the quicktags menu

Filed under: Blog notes — nancy @ 11:12 am

I managed to add a definition list to the “Overview” page, by simply dropping the appropriate HTML onto the edit box. But it did mean updating the style sheet to style dd and dl tags.

  1. There is a plugin that comes with the program that looks like it allows for WYSIWYG editing. That needs to be checked out.

The “quick tags” editing is pretty basic and would, I think, be opaque to folks who don’t recognize the button labels like “ul” “li” “code”, etc. It probably wouldn’t take a regular user much training to get comfortable with it, but if there’s a stable WYSIWYG interface, that’d be preferable.
