I don’t see where it’s possible to change the meta section.

And the RSS links in that section appear to generate errors.

  2. Yes, the RSS links in the “Meta” section generate an error - bu the orange box in the bottom right of Firefox window seems to work okay.

  3. Okay, I removed the “feed:” from the sidebar template (as suggested in
    http://wordpress.org/support/topic.php?id=25065
and Firefox now brings up the XML — but I don’t know if it’ll actually work as an RSS feed.

  4. Removing the “feed:” seems to be sufficient to use the URI’s as feeds in FeedDemon and Sage. On the other hand, another change (to wp-blog-header.php) was suggested in that support forum. Making just that change didn’t affect the errors with the “feed:”, so I’ve

    1) removed “feed:” from two lines in WordPress Classic 1.5 Sidebar Template (using the applications Theme Editor under the Presentation section of the Admin panel)
    and
    2) changed ‘index.php’ to ‘.php’ as recommended in the support notes referencing http://cvs.sourceforge.net/viewcvs.py/cafelog/wordpress/wp-blog-header.php?r1=1.130&r2=1.131
